Mini album "on the go" - Netherlands

Hello again!

Today I have something different to show you.

Just three days ago I came back from a short holiday in the Netherlands. My cousin studies there and since he's coming back in August, it was our last chance to visit him.

I keep wanting to make mini albums about my trips but I never get to to them mainly because I cannot face the task of selecting, correcting and printing photos. So this time I got with me my Instax camera, a Studio Calico mini album and 1-2 Project Life kits. Each day I would prepare the day before with minimum materials and really relaxed. I just added a few details when I came back home.

From now on that's what I'm going to do on my holidays, I'm really excited!

And the pages that I made:

... I highly recommend it as an easy and quick way to keep a kind of short holiday diary!

Hugs,
Anastasia

Scrapbookers in Greece - A difficult "see you later"

Hello!

Another difficult post for me today... as I have decided with great difficulty to retire from the Scrapbookers in Greece DT due to very limited time.

So this is my last post as a member of the Design Team :( It is as hard as I had imagined.

It is the middle of the summer here in Greece and you know what that means... beaches, swimming, relaxing. Of course, this is the theme that Katerina has chosen for this challenge. I have chosen a picture from maybe my favourite time of my vacations, when I am tired from the morning swimming, heavy with lunch (hihihi) and I relax on the balcony with my book...

I made this layout during the A' crop of Crete based on the amazing sketch prepared for us by Melenia!

So those of you that have not left on vacation, come over at Scrapbookers in Greece to see the summer memories of the design team and to play along with us!

Finally I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Katerina for giving me the chance to be part of the amazing team - TEAM in capital letters - as well as all the girls for the amazing PAREA this last year... I will miss you!!!!

And since this is getting a bit corny I will end the post here.

Hope you like it,

Hugs,
Anastasia

The Studio Challenges - July 21st sketch

Hello!!!

Here I am, with a slight delay for this post as I am on mini vacations!

So today we have a new challenge over at The Studio Challenges. This time it's a sketch challenge based on the following challenge prepared by Valerie:

And the layout I made with Andreas wearing his mother's sunglasses and his pacifier and reminding me of a baby rock star:

To emphasize the theme of the layout I went for the "hard" colours of black and red, used much, much black glitter (oh yes!!!) and embellishments such as stars, glasses etc

And a couple of close-ups to see better the black glitter (and believe me, lol!):

So come over at The Studio Challenges to see how the design team has used the sketch and to play along with us. The lucky July winner will get some yummy twine!

Hope you like it,

Hugs,
Anastasia

The Studio Challenges July 7th - Twine

Hello!!!

A bit late my post today, but that's because I just came back from a FABULOUS weekend over at Heraklion, Crete, where we had the first Crop in Crete... We had a really, really great time, the incredible hospitality of the Cretans has been proved to be... incredible!, the food is just amazing (I don't dare get on the scales for now), and the team has organised such a great, great crop! Thank you girls! (I will have a separate post for the crop with what I made there - yes, I actually did make something!)

Sooooo... apologies for this introduction, but I am very excited indeed... Back to today's new challenge we have over at The Studio Challenges and it is one of my favourite ones: Twine!

Twine is one of my favourite materials but I don't actually use it in layouts as much as I would have liked. By far my favourite is baker's twine. And since I have plenty of colours and didn't know which one to chose... I went for a rainbow layout to use as many colours as I could:

I cut circles out of cardstock, applied glue and starting from the centre I added twine round and round. I then added small embellishments in the various colours, using distress paint on some of the embellishments to get the colour that I wanted. A number of close-up photos:

So why don't you come over at The Studio Challenges to see how the design team has used twine on their layouts - really, the team has rocked this challenges and you can see some really creative use of twine!

I hope you like it!

Hugs,
Anastasia

Addicted to CAS #17 - Water

Hello!

I hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend...

This is a bittersweet post, as it is my last post as member of the Addicted to CAS design team. Lately my work has been quite demanding and business trips very often and it has been hard for me to keep up with my DT obligations. It hasn't been a easy decision, but sometimes we just have to take these, right? Thank you Kylie for giving me the change to be part of this amazing team!

So the code word for the new challenge at Addicted to CAS chosen by Loll is "Water":

The card that I made:

I used Distress Inks for the sea and the sand and Promarkers to colour this cute Aquarius. To make the water even more delightful, I added some glitter glue ;)

Our sponsor for this challenge is Clearly Digi Stamps which offers the winner a $15 gift voucher!

So we will be waiting for you to play along with us!

Hope you like it,

Hugs,
Anastasia

Get Creative - July layout

Good morning, good week and good month!!!

We have a new challenge for Get Creative today! Quite simple actually... (hihihi): you are asked to use only red embellishments! Your papers, title, photos can be in any colour you want... but the embellishments have to be in red only!

I chose a photo with Lola that I wanted to scrap some time now and since the background is a red pillow, it was perfect for this challenge. Poor Lola, we put a scarf around her neck and she stayed immobile without moving anything except the funny expressions on her face until we put the scarve away!

Here's the result:

To make the layout a bit brighter I used a mask with modelling paste behind the photo and added splatters in white colour.

Then... I reached out to my acrylic paints and my mists! I painted the cat wood veneers with acrylics and the arrows and the crochet heart with mists. The crochet heart is actually from Get Creative Embellishments.

I cut some details from a pattern paper and added my favourite details - enamel dots, flair, sewing, doodling... And the layout was ready!

Come over at Get Creative to see how the design team has used red embellishments, with so different and awesome results! This month's winner will not only come back as guest designer for September, but will also get this amazing cutting and embossing die from Tina Suitella!!!

Hope you like it!

Hugs,
Anastasia
